A Star is Adorned...
The ring that I bought to propose to Missy has a centerstone of sapphire (natural blue). She has told me that she would like to have the same stone on a necklace for the wedding. I had already thought of the same idea and planned to give the necklace to her as a wedding gift (although I'm an iconoclast, I occassionally submit to tradition, albeit begrudgingly).
So, knowing that I can't get anything past this girl I let her know my plans and they coincided with hers. I purchased a nice star sapphire from a gem seller in thailand. It arrived last weekend and I was amazed. I've never seen such a mesmerizing rock in all my life.
We are now in the works of creating a necklace in the same design as the ring, with pearls instead of diamonds and the star sapphire will adorn the center, nuzzled in her supersternal notch. We're accomplishing this economically, for we are now budgeting.
It is nice to save some money for a change. It will make life easier later to suffer today. At least I hope so, otherwise I'm limiting myself needlessly. But who cares, I hate money, it's the greatest abomination of mankind. Too bad we need it so.
